You may have seen our recent update introducing Progressive Web App (PWA) and EDP Deep Linking functionality. If you haven’t explored it yet, it’s worth taking a look - it’s a simple feature that can make everyday use of De Facto EDP ERP faster and more efficient.
Install EDP as a Progressive Web App (PWA)
De Facto EDP ERP can now be installed as a Progressive Web App, meaning it runs like a native application on your computer.
Instead of opening our software in a browser tab, you can install it directly from Chrome using the install icon (pictured below) in the address bar.
This gives you:
- A dedicated app on your desktop
- Faster access
- A cleaner, app-style experience
But the real benefit comes when using Deep Linking.
What Is EDP Deep Linking?
Deep Linking allows you to generate a direct link to specific work within De Facto EDP ERP.
You can create links to:
- Workflow tasks
- Specific lists
- A particular record in single view
Rather than explaining where something is, you can send a link that opens it instantly.
For example, instead of saying:
“Go into this module, find this list, filter by this field…”
You simply share the link.
Why It’s Useful
Deep Linking makes collaboration quicker and clearer. It reduces navigation time, removes ambiguity, and helps teams move from discussion to action more efficiently.
It’s a small change in functionality - but one that can make a noticeable difference in day-to-day workflow.
