The Oadby Plastics website has been designed with usability in mind
Oadby Plastics approached De Facto with an existing website, utilised to display product information including technical specification sheets, safety sheets and pricing, available to download as PDFs. Whilst serving well as an online platform to display their product information, Oadby wanted to enhance the ease of finding their products and provide customers with the ability to purchase from them online.
We worked closely with Oadby to define a number of project goals and objectives for their new website: build a successful E-Commerce business, enhance user interactivity, offer detailed product information and, ultimately, build Oadby’s online brand.
The website incorporates a clear, easy-to-use navigation to make the user experience as straightforward as possible. We focused on making the site capable of hosting their sizable product database without compromising the load speed or performance, maximising visual elements with product images central to the product category and detail pages, to attract customer attention and make it easier for them to see what they’re purchasing.
The search and dual navigation menu structure enable users to drill-down to desired products with ease, whilst the news feature keeps customers up-to-date with the latest industry and company news, which, as well as enhancing SEO, allows Oadby to include regular, fresh content.
