de
Facto S5 uses industry standard technology to deliver an
unrivalled solution. S5 runs on Microsoft's mature Windows
2000 Server / Server 2003, and utilises Microsoft's
powerful SQL
Server 2000 / 2005 as the 'backend' database. This platform
provides many benefits, one example being the ease of data
integration with other applications via ODBC connectivity.
Wide area networking requirements are covered using thin client technology, provided either by Microsoft Terminal Service (which is suitable for low scale usage), or Citrix MetaFrame (for heavy wide area usage). Citrix MetaFrame also allows de Facto S5 to be run within a Web Browser, and to use additional facilities for load balancing between application servers.
de
Facto S5 provides full compliance with such standards as TAPI
for CTI (Computer Telephony Interfaces), and can be easily
integrated with Microsoft Exchange Server 2000. Third party applications
such as ZetaFax can
also be utilised to provide such features as fax integration
and Business Intelligence.
Client Requirements
de Facto S5 software is designed to run on a platform that will run Microsoft Office products with good performance. A typical thick client would consist of:
- Pentium III processor or better
- Windows
2000/XP with 256MB RAM or better (preferred)
- Minimum of 30MB local disk space
- 100MB Ethernet network connection (TCP/IP)
Server Requirements
Due to the varied implementation platforms under which de Facto S5 can be deployed, it is not possible to provide full details of server requirements here. Precise details can be provided on on request.
