De
Facto Software is pleased to announce the
release of version 4.9 of de Facto S5 Accounting and ERP software.
The latest release of de Facto S5 features a number of enhancements
which provide the user with increased functionality. Further
enhancements focus on ease of use, leading to greater efficiency
of operation
and consequent gains in productivity.
Some
of the key developments in v4.9 are:
Logistics Enhancements
Handheld Processes
The Handheld Application window now presents a list of possible applications.
These can be restricted via the Handheld Access option within the User
record. The
new process status change window can be found within Sales Order batch processing
or opened via the HH application on a Terminal Services / MetaFrame session
from
a PDA (see
Despatch Processing - Fast Entry).
This
adds to the following current available functionality:
- Pallet Movement Process
- QC Recording Process
- Warehouse Transfer Process
- Works Order Usage Process
- Works Order Quick Process
Stock Transfers of Locked Physical Stock
Warehouse transfers of 'locked' Stock are now allowed. This will enable products to be moved between and within warehouses, whilst, for example still being locked for use with back
to back orders.
Tracking Groups - Choice Lists and Default Values
Each tracking group element can now have a choice list and default entry defined.
This can be used to ensure data conformance during any stock receipts of products
which are flagged for tracking.
QC Prior to Confirmation
The Quality Control of goods being received in via a Purchase Order, now allows
the recording of QC results both during PO order entry, and at the GRN creation, prior to
the GRN being confirmed.
The results will be inherited by the corresponding QC results.
Sales Order Processing - Logistics Enhancements
Despatch Processing - Fast Entry
A new batch option has been added for handheld processes. This includes a variety
of options for despatch status which have been added to the existing
Stock Control, QC and Works Order options. Each
of the options listed below are designed to offer fast processing
of the change of status and to utilise bar code input where
applicable. These despatch options will be based
on those specified for the despatch window in the parameters.

POD
The availability of these options to the user is controlled via the 'setup handheld
access' option in the user record. The same window is also available by launching
the handheld application on a PDA based terminal.
Stock - Logistics Enhancements
Enhanced Warehouse Transfer Window
The Warehouse Transfer window has been enhanced to allow for the movement of
either whole or part of a physical batch or pallet of stock. Transfers can be built
using any vistas to select the product / physical batches required.
Destination, quantity and units can all be entered by selecting sets of rows and use
of the appropriate button or manually entered if required. Transfers can now be
either posted directly or saved as stock transfers for subsequent processing.
Transport - Logistics Enhancements
Planning Enhancements
1. The system will now create a transport request when raising a Sales Order
Credit or when using the Returns functionality in the 'Modify Deliveries
Made' window. This
is controlled by a new Transport, General Parameter 'Include Credits/Returns'.
2. A new Column has been added to the Transport Planning window to show the number of drops per
load.
3. In the Transport Planning window you can now move requests between loads by
using a right mouse click, which will then display a menu of the current loads.
4. Transport requests now inherit their drop times from the routing profile held
against the delivery address.
5.
The system will now attempt to 'auto find' any requests that
are the same (Customer/ Supplier matches + Delivery Address
+ Date)
that the user hasn't selected (for the
same route) and offer to include them when assigning to a load. This
will also add in any collections that are due to be made for
the same criteria.
6. An option to exclude Order on credit hold is now available on the Planning
criteria.
Production Enhancements
Batch Labour Booking
A new Batch Labour Booking option has been added to the Production menu. This
allows individual labour entries to be made quickly and easily. The window has been
designed to utilise bar code input where applicable. The process allows entry of the
following data:
- Works Order No
- Process Status
- Employee Code
- Operation Code
- Operation Qty
- Duration
- Notes
These labour booking records will be stored for subsequent allocation to the Works
Order outputs when the Works Order is completed.
Team Labour Booking
A new button has been added to the Works Order Labour Booking window next
to the duration field, which enables the time input for a team in the following
forms:
- Number of People
- Start Time
- Finish Time
The sum total of these input hours are then returned into the duration field for
costing.
CRM Enhancements
ToDo List Filter Views
The ToDo List filters can now have user defined table layouts. This will allow
precisely the required selection of the data columns to be displayed.
General
Enhancements
'Recent Window' Enhancements
The 'recent windows' system has been revamped and improved in its format. Two new features have been added to it, each of which can be found on the main menu bar:
Favourites
- This allows a menu structure of frequently used windows and records to be
saved for easy frequent accessing. This works in much the same
way as Internet
Explorer Favourites.
Bookmarks
- This allows 'bookmarks' to be kept, along with an explanatory note of why they have
been kept. On opening a bookmark or closing the window, the bookmark note can
be cancelled or amended.
