Recent
developments have seen a wealth of powerful new features added
to de Facto S5, driven both by customer requests, and by our
own mission to constantly bring more benefits to the user.
Below
are details on the latest features built into de Facto
S5, together with the module they most closely relate
to ....
Group
Credit Limits and Checking (sales
ledger / sales
order processing)
This provides the ability to specify a range of accounts which can be considered
as a group for overall credit checking purposes.
Cross
Account Allocation (sales
ledger)
Cross Account Allocation allows groups of sales ledger accounts to be grouped
for payment and allocation purposes. When receiving a group payment, this can
be allocated across multiple accounts. The system will then automatically construct
the required contra transactions.
Warehouse
Layout Controls (stock
control)
New facilities have been added to allow location codes to be assigned in a
structured manner, based upon up to 6 dimensions or elements. Additional controls
have been
added to handle warehouse zones, and automated carousel pickers.
The
ability to place restrictions on locations for single / multi
batch and products has been added. Putaway, and pick locks
can also be used to prevent the use of specified locations
for a period of time. Fixed product locations can also be used
for pick face replenishments.
These
new facilities are utilised within the Sales
Order or Purchase
Order Processing, for increased efficiency in putaway and
picking of products.
Bulk
Picking (sales
order processing)
A new feature has been added to improve the ability to handle the picking of
multiple orders to a separate location, for subsequent packing. Options have
also been added to allow pick waves to be generated,
and for increased flexibility in the criteria used to select orders to pick.
Packing (sales
order processing)
Facilities have been added to allow for the building of individual packages
within a shipment. These packages can contain sub-lists of their contents.
Using carrier links, they can be used to generate carrier specific labels,
or for inclusion within detailed advanced shipment notifications.
Price
Group Facilities (sales
order processing)
Have been improved by the addition of global fixed discount groups, each of
which can comprise multiple fixed discount price lists. This new feature reduces
the amount of discount and price maintenance required in a variety of situations.
Carrier
Links (sales
order processing)
de Facto S5 now provides a method for the generation of carrier-specific packaging
labels, including weighbill and routing data. We have commenced with
Omega-Securicor, and plan to add others, based on user demand in the future.
Product
Restrictions (sales
order processing)
Facilities have been added to easily control and restrict which products are
available to customers, and in what quantities. These facilities are ideal
when some form of authorisation is required from the customer head office,
or from the supplier.
Customer Organisational
and Product Groupings (sales
order processing)
Customer organisational and product groupings enable your customer focused
analysis of sales and marketing activation. Features have been added to allow
for analysis using your customers own organisational and product groupings,
i.e. Reps, Regions, Business units, etc.
Customer
Period Analysis (sales
order processing)
To further extend the ability to produce customer focused analysis, de Facto
S5 allows your customers own periods to be stamped onto transactions. This
is especially useful when dealing with large organisations, such as the retail
multiples.
Miscellaneous
Staff (crm)
Contact data can also be held for both internal staff, and miscellaneous contacts,
and for each users own private contacts.
Event
Priorities (crm)
Event priorities can now be set using user definable descriptions, and colour
coding to highlight urgent events.
Event
Records (crm)
The de Facto S5 CRM event records now provide the ability to add additional
tables and fields specific to the event type. This latest option dramatically
extends the power and flexibility of
the CRM module.
Rapid
Works Order Processing (production)
The de Facto S5 production module now includes new facilities for the quick processing
of works orders, by confirmation of materials used, and outputs produced. These
facilities are available both directly within the application, and on our thin-client
RDT-based platform for online data entry.
Product
Based Costing (costing)
New features have been added to allow the Job Costing and Stock
Control modules to be automatically integrated for Product Costing. This
provides detailed accounting
for either an individual or range of products.
Advance
Picking (sales
order processing)
Advance picking against anticipated stock from sales orders and production.
Designed for use in 24/7 operations where 'the van can’t wait for the
admin office'.
Trade
Counter (sales
order processing)
Trade counter enhancements for faster and easier processing. This feature
will be especially useful in busy trade counters, such as builders merchants.
