New Release of de Facto
S5 - v4.1
|
 |
|
Here
are a some examples of the new 'Advanced Integrated
Distribution' features, recently built into de Facto
S5 ......
Bonded
Stores and Excise Duty Accounting (logistics
suite-wide)
de Facto have added facilities to provide for the accurate and efficient control
of bonded stores. The facilities include all of the required options for handling
both normal import and excise duty for beer, wines, spirits and tobacco. These
facilities have been incorporated as standard options into the powerful de
Facto Logistics suite of sales order, purchase order and stock control modules.
Features allow for the accrual accounting of all aspects of duty and pricing
as both duty paid and under bond.
These new facilities provide for unlimited accrual or notional accounting in
respect of delivered and landed costs. Features are provided to calculate and
analyse any number of landed costs based around standard contract terms. This
feature is especially important in the sales order and purchase order processing
modules.
The new enhancements to the de Facto Logistics suite allow completely user
definable quality control profiles to be created and linked to product groups.
Each profile allows unlimited test methods to be defined and data to be recorded
for each sample / batch tested. Positive release facilities are available including
conditional and restricted use option. Data capture can be undertaken either
through the normal entry windows or via handheld dockable and RDT based devices.
This feature is focused on the stock control module. Warehousing
Pallet / Box / Container Control (logistics
suite-wide)
The de Facto Logistics suite now provides powerful facilities for the control
of forklift / pallet based warehousing. All pallet movements can be scheduled
and managed from a central management window and communicated directly to the
forklift via RDT based networks. This provides a considerable time saving and
optimisation in the use of warehousing resources. This feature is especially
important within the sales order processing module. Transport
Planning, Cost Optimisation (transport)
The de Facto Transport module has been improved to provide flexible features
for the optimal cost based selection of carrier / haulier. The system is able
to hold and compare unlimited numbers of schedules each with its individual
distance and rate banding and to use this data to highlight the lowest cost
solution to the delivery needs.
For those companies involved in a fully integrated logistics chain de Facto
S5 now provides options for the creation and transmission of ASN’s.
A new option in the Production module provides quick and easy data capture
via handheld devices for production data entry. The handheld devices include
bar code scanners.
User
Defined Database (admin)
Existing features have been extended to allow unrelated tables to be defined,
and also to include the ability to use Vistas as lookups between standard or
user defined tables.
Batch
Code Changes (admin)
A new utility will allow you to change a series of codes throughout the database,
either individually or on a batch basis. This feature will make changes of
customers, suppliers or product codes a trivial and frustration free process.
