Cranswick Pet Products choose de Facto S5 ERP and Accounting Software

Cranswick Pet Products (formerly George Buckton Ltd) has been an established manufacturer of foods for birds and small animals for over 200 years. As part of a major program of investment and development, they will implement de Facto S5 as their business management software over the coming months.
Established in 1789 as a corn and seed merchant, their business has developed into the UK's leading manufacturer of Bird Food for Racing Pigeons, Wild Birds and Cage and Aviary. Based at Bishop Burton, East Yorkshire, the business has enjoyed strong growth over recent years on the back of product innovation and high customer service levels.

Their core business is the manufacture and distribution of a range of products:
- Premium Racing Pigeon Mixes, as used by a number of Champion Fanciers.
- Lead-like molecules through their Screening Compounds.
- Small Animal Food for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Hamsters.
- A range of extruded dog and cat foods and treats.
Cranswick Pet Products has commenced work on its new £5 million pet food manufacturing and distribution facility at the Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate, near Driffield, East Yorkshire.
Implementing
the Solution
Coinciding with this move into new facilities, they will implement de Facto S5 in a number of planned phases.
The first phase will be core S5 functionality for Financial and Logistics. Subsequent phases will enable an interface to their Production and Factory systems, and to their Handheld / RF systems within their warehouse.
